Welcome to my quest guide on the Cook's Assistant quest.

Official quest description: The Duke of Lumbridge is having a birthday, but the cook forgot to purchase the ingredients for the cake. The Lumbridge castle cook is in a mess; he needs a lot of ingredients and does not have much time.

Difficulty: Easy

Length: Short

Items needed: A bucket of milk, a pot of flour and an egg. 2 gp or more would be helpful.

Level requirements: None

Start Point: Talk to the cook in Lumbridge Castle.

Reward: 1 Quest Point, 300 cooking experience and the ability to use the cook's range, which gives players 50% more chance of cooking certain foods successfully.

Before you start this quest, you should open up a World Map to avoid getting lost.

The cook of Lumbridge Castle will tell you that the Duke of Lumbridge is going to have his birthday soon, but he forgot to buy the ingredients for a cake. The cook needs you to give him milk, flour and an egg. Take the empty pot on the table, as you will need this to make flour.

Grab 5 gp from the bank on the 3rd level of the castle. Exit the castle and go to the Lumbridge general store, where you can purchase a bucket in order to obtain milk.

Head for the chicken barn, which is on the road from Lumbridge to Varrock. You should be able find an egg spawn in there. The cow farm is opposite the chicken barn. Use the bucket on a dairy cow to obtain a bucket of milk.

Now, we have to go pick some grain, which is on the way from Lumbridge to Draynor Village. Be sure to take your pot with you. Near the grain is a windmill. Windmills help your convert grain to flour. Talk to Millie Miller for a short tutorial.

Now that you have all the ingredients, go back to Lumbridge Castle. Talk to the cook and he will reward you with a quest point, some cooking experience and permission to use his range.
