The Stronghold of Player Safety was released in March 2008 system update. It is the cousin to the better-known Stronghold of Security. The Stronghold of Player Safety is a dungeon under the Misthalin Training Centre of Excellence. It is north of Barbarian Village and south of Edgeville. Unlike the Stronghold of Security, players are pretty much completely safe in the Stronghold of Player Safety, as all the monsters in the dungeon are non-aggressive.

The dungeon is swarming with cockroach drones (8), cockroach workers (56) and cockroach soldiers (83), found nowhere else. They can make for reasonable training.

Doing the stronghold can be a good way to get some quick cash and many players start new accounts because they're especially to do the Stronghold of Player Safety. Please note that it is recommended you set your recovery questions in order to complete the whole Stronghold of Player Safety.

Players must go through a process before entering the dungeon. First, enter the basement, which is a jail. Read all of the cell doors and complete the Player Safety test miniquest upstairs (by talking to Professor Henry), which gets the player 2 antique lamps, that will give 500 experience each in whatever skill you choose.

After passing the test, the second cell (in the jail downstairs) on the left allows the player to access the dungeon. Enter through a tunnel behind the poster. In this area, the north-east room has stairs that go up to an another level.

On this level, the north room has a lever that opens magic doors in the dungeon. Go back down to previous level and you will see a magical door in the east. Go through it and you find yourself in the east room in this level.

Go to a small tunnel in the middle of the dungeon area and you will find a chest. When you open it you will receive 10,000 gp and safety gloves (which match "fighting boots" from the Stronghold of Security).
